How it works:
This bath tea is thoughtfully crafted to support post-birth comfort, tissue recovery, and emotional grounding during the fourth trimester. These botanicals have long been used in traditional postpartum care to help soothe tender areas, support skin repair, and promote a sense of calm and restoration.

Magnesium Chloride
Highly absorbable form of magnesium that helps relax tired muscles, release tension through the pelvis and lower back, and support nervous system recovery after birth.

Calendula Flower
Contains triterpenoids and flavonoids that are traditionally used to soothe irritated or stretched skin and support gentle tissue healing.

Comfrey Leaf
Rich in allantoin, a compound associated with supporting new tissue formation and comfort during healing of sensitive perineal areas.

Shepherd’s Purse
Traditionally used in postpartum herb baths for pelvic and uterine support as the body transitions after birth.

Lavender Petals
Calming aromatics like linalool help encourage relaxation and support sleep, especially in moments of overwhelm or hormonal fluctuation.

Raspberry Leaf
Often used in the postpartum period to support uterine tone and comfort as the body returns to its natural rhythm.

Rose Petals
Nourishing plant polyphenols help soothe skin while providing a sense of emotional warmth and reassurance.

Rosemary
Supports circulation and cleansing, helping encourage a refreshed, grounded feeling postpartum.

Yarrow Flower
A traditional postpartum herb used to comfort tender tissues and promote a clean healing environment.

Sandalwood Powder
Grounding santalols help ease stress responses and support calmer breathing — valuable during new-mother adjustment.

How to Use

Just add 1/2 - 1 cup into a warm bath to have some moments alone to enjoy a bath that not only brings warmth and relaxation, but tending to a tender beautiful body that has done so amazing at carrying life the past 9+ months.

Our Postpartum Bath Tea is packed with enough mix to ensure Mumma has enough to last the first 1-2 weeks post birth (depending on use). We recommend Mumma is consistent whist her body is most tender and sore to support healing & relief.

FAQ

When can I start using this bath tea?
Most mums begin once they feel comfortable sitting in the bath — often after the first 24–48 hours or when cleared by their care provider.
If you have stitches or significant trauma, please follow your practitioner’s specific guidance.

Is it safe if I have stitches or tearing?
Yes — the herbs are traditionally used to support tissue comfort and soothing during healing.
Ensure water is warm (not hot) and avoid long soaks in the first days if swelling is significant.

Can I use this if I had a C-section?
Yes — simply avoid submerging the incision until it has closed and healed and your practitioner says baths are okay.
In the early days, consider a shallow sitz soak instead.

How much do I use per bath?
Fill the included muslin bag half to full (depending on bath size), seal tightly, then:
• Pre-infuse in boiling water and pour into the bath
or
• Place directly in warm water and allow to release botanicals gradually
Gently squeeze the bag to infuse further.

Can I reuse the muslin bag?
Yes — empty the herbs fully and wash the bag with regular laundry after use.
Herbs themselves are single-use for hygiene.

How often can I soak?
Daily is beautiful — many mums enjoy 1–2 soaks per day in the early weeks for comfort and calm.

Can I do a sitz bath instead of a full bath?
Absolutely — sitz baths are a great option for targeted perineal support or when you don’t feel ready for a full bath.

Can my baby join me in the bath?
Yes — once the bath cools to a safe temperature.
This can be a lovely moment for skin-to-skin bonding and calming both nervous systems.

Will it help with swelling or discomfort?
The botanicals included are traditionally used to soothe tender areas and support natural comfort as the body heals.
Always seek medical advice if your pain increases or you notice changes that concern you.
